This tree spade / shovel attachment for the skid steer digs up to 52" deep forwards and 24" deep backwards. It's able to dig through light asphalt in reverse (backwards only).

For transplanting trees, it can dig upto a 44" ball. This means you can safely transplant a tree between 4" and 4 1/2".
